Cox's Hot Chicken

One of the newest editions to the growing New Albany community is Cox’s Hot Chicken & Sports: a family-owned business owned by Andrew Cox and his younger brother, Matt. Andrew has been in the restaurant industry since he was 14 years old – his first job was at the South Side Inn Restaurant in New Albany. It’s funny how life brings things full-circle because now, Andrew is the owner of his own restaurant in the same building that started his life in the restaurant industry! Andrew coming from a large family, six generations deep throughout Southern Indiana, has always valued eating meals together. He wants to bring this same experience to the entire community.

At Cox’s Hot Chicken & Sports, you will not only be able to experience the Hot Chicken craze, but you’ll be able to select the level of HOT that you can stand! Cox’s Hot Chicken, which is fresh, never frozen, comes in wings, drummies, and strips with their hotness being measured in the amount of Clucks that you can handle! Their “How Many Clucks” meter has the following options: Fried Gold, Original, Cluck and Holy Cluck. Then there is Cluckin’ Scary, which is the hottest of them all! If you make it to Cluckin’ Scary and STILL want more  – the chef can always turn up the heat for you!

Cox’s Hot Chicken & Sports also offers made-from-scratch chicken and waffles, which is topped with their bourbon infused maple syrup – sure to appeal to everyone’s taste buds! A popular menu item is their Sticky Fingers, which are served with your choice of dunkin’ sauce! Not a chicken fan? Cox’s Hot Chicken & Sports has appetizers, salads, burgers and much more! Looking for a great way to end a long day or week?  They have 16 beers on tap and a full bar! There are even options for the little guys and gals in your party. Check out their kids’ menu which has burgers, mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken tenders and more! Kids meals are $4.99 and each one includes fries and a drink.

Everything that is served at Cox’s Hot Chicken & Sports is made from scratch including their batter, seasonings and dunkin’ sauces. With Chef Chris Hasty in the kitchen, you know you will be getting a hot, made-to-order meal!  All of the sauces are honey based which gives them a thicker consistency and a better flavor.

Cox’s Hot Chicken & Sports offers several specials throughout the week! The best way to keep up with these specials and any events is to check out their social media – follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
